Her research spans from the late 19th century to today, revealing how LGBTQ+ individuals have navigated urban spaces in search of safety and community. The formation of advocacy group Gay Pride SA in 2004 is one of the many milestones highlighted in her research, emphasizing the district's evolving significance.

The event this Friday serves as a precursor to the annual Pride Bigger Than Texas Festival, which will take place on June 28 at Crockett Park.
