
Urgent Search Underway for Sexual Battery Suspect
The San Diego Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking information about a suspect involved in a recent incident of sexual battery in East County. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, around 8:30 p.m., in an unincorporated area of El Cajon, placing both local residents and law enforcement on high alert.
A Disturbing Incident
A 24-year-old woman was jogging in the 1600 block of Hilton Head Road when she became an unfortunate victim of violence. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the unidentified male suspect approached her from behind, placing his arm around her neck and restraining her. The victim managed to scream and break free from his grip before fleeing the scene. The suspect then ran away in the opposite direction.
Suspect Description
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-20s, standing about 5’6" tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds with a thin build. Witnesses reported that he wore a dark-colored top, possibly a black hat, and black flip-flops, while having short, shaggy medium brown hair. Law enforcement hopes that community members can assist in identifying this individual.
